REVIEW THE ARTICLES I FOUND ONE ARTICLES FRO KOREA MENTIONING SOME RIBS DEFORMITIES -ONE OF THEM CALLED ANTERIOR BIFURCATION- THIS TERM MAY MEAN THAT THERE ARE POSTERIOR BIFURCATION -FOR THIS REASON I SEARCHED FOR ANOTHER NAME -IN LATINE LANGUAGE  -I CALLED IT COSTA BIFIDA

a boy  of 2years old brought by mother to emergency dept -and  

has  seen by ED PHYSICIAN-the mother giving history of fell of

on his chest from about 50 cm height-boy has no external injury and looks well calm -lactating from mother --palpation of chest wall revealed some non-tender swelling on L, hemi-chest-and after 

- c x-ray seen it was as follow-see down please 

 what is the diagnosis-

Dr okasha,s rib

-rare congenital anomalies affect 1%of general population above 16 of age- some called it anterior bifurcation of rib

-but i called it costa pifida-

it was not available in latine dictionary -that is why i  nominated  the case as 

        costa pifida
